Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the World Cup as England prepare to play their final Group D match against Costa Rica in Belo Horizonte.

The Three Lions have already been dumped out the tournament following painfully narrow defeats by Italy and Uruguay, and are only playing for pride against the Central American side.

By contrast Costa Rica have already qualified from the group in one of the tournament's biggest shocks so far, and will be going for a hat-trick of wins in an attempt to qualify as group winners.

             

So England are going home with just one point, but on the way back to Europe they will be dragging Italy with them after the Italians were eliminated following a controversial defeat by Uruguay.
